G20 Seminar on Green Growth

ParIs, France, May 22, 2012

The G20 Seminar on Green Growth was organized jointly with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and held at the latter’s Headquarters in Paris. It was designed to support the efforts of the Energy and Commodity Markets Working Group, Subgroup of Energy and Growth, on producing analysis and practical recommendations to include green growth strategies as part of countries’ long-term structural agenda. At the Seminar, experts from different sectors and countries shared their insights on key elements of green growth policies: their rationale, different instruments and measures governments can implement, how they serve to enhance productivity and improve people’s well-being, and political considerations to facilitate a smooth implementation.

The event included five sessions, below are posted the Seminar’s agenda, the participants’ presentations and a photo gallery. We thank all participants for their valuable contributions towards bringing the event through to a successful conclusion.
